Georgia quarterback Carson Beck will face Tennessee on Saturday after a disappointing upset loss to Ole Miss in Oxford. The 11th-ranked Bulldogs likely cannot afford to lose again if they want to make the College Football Playoff and the same thing goes for the sixth-ranked visitors.
Unfortunately, one Volunteers fan already went too far in trying to gain an advantage.
Beck was forced to restrict his phone calls after his number became public on social media. It is a situation very similar to when Tim Tebow received hundreds of threatening messages from LSU fans prior to Florida’s road matchup with the nation’s top-ranked team in 2007. The same exact thing also happened to Stetson Bennett in 2022.
The fan, who claims to be a Tennessee alumnus, lists himself as a ‘Pi Kapp c/o ’08.’ If that is true, that would indicate his age falls somewhere between 36-40 years old. However, the account is a burner so his (or her?) true identity is entirely unknown.
More than likely, if my knowledge of SEC burners has taught me anything, it is probably an active student hiding behind a false moniker. Who knows? Doesn’t matter!
Regardless of who he might be, his account has only 116 followers.

Captioned, “What kind of hate speech should we send to the biggest f– in college football?” the attached image supposedly revealed Carson Beck’s phone number. There is no way to know for certain. The number could be attached to one of the burner account’s buddies and he’s just playing a prank.
Considering the 209 area code, it could be the real thing because Beck is from Jacksonville.
Either way, texts to the included number do not go through. An automated message interrupts any calls.
“The service you’re attempting to use has been restricted or is unavailable. Please contact customer service for assistance.”
Whomever is on the other end of the phone number posted to X was forced to set up restrictions after an influx of calls and texts from Tennessee fans (and curious college football fans). Although the decision to dox Carson Beck is not a behavior deserving of praise, it worked. Kind of…
