The Boston Celtics are one of the best teams in the NBA, and one of the odds-on title favorites. FanDuel Sportsbook has them at +320 to win it all, currently tied with the Milwaukee Bucks for the best odds.
The tandem of Jayson Tatum and Jalen Brown may be the best 1-2 punch in the NBA. And, they have incredible depth, probably the best in the league.
Role guys like Robert Williams, Al Horford Mike Muscala, and Blake Griffin help down low. And, on the perimeter, Derrick White, Marcus Smart, Sam Hauser, and Marcus Smart are all big contributors of varying degrees for the Celtics
But, maybe their biggest Swiss army knife is Grant Williams. The 6’6 forward can guard multiple positions and is a great three-point shooter at 39.9%. He’s even an 82.7% free throw shooter for the Celtics. But, he cost the team big-time Monday night.
Coming off a loss to the New York Knicks Sunday night, Boston played in Cleveland to take on the Cavaliers. Despite playing without Jayson Tatum, who got the night off, Boston was in position to win in a tie game at the end of regulation with the ball. And, Grant Williams made a great play to get fouled while crashing the boards, and just one foul shot would win it for the Celtics.

But, he missed them both. The odds of a 83% foul shooter missing two consecutive foul shots is around 3%.

He said "Imma make them both" before missing them both ðŸ˜

So, he missed some free throws, happens to everyone. Problem is, he had told Donovan Mitchell that he would make them both. Whoops.

And, the Cavaliers beat the Celtics, 118-114, in overtime. They now trail Milwaukee by two games for the top seed in the Eastern Conference.
