After barely getting past USC in the First Round of March Madness, 10-seed Miami took down one of the giants from the SEC in the second round. After the Hurricanes took down the 2-seed Auburn Tigers in dominant fashion, head coach Jim Larrañaga took a playful, vicious jab at Charles Barkley.
Barkley, an Auburn grad, is part of CBS’ pregame studio desk. Prior to the game, in which his alma mater was the comfortable favorite, he and the crew were discussing Houston’s historic win over Illinois.
After beating the Illini, Cougars head coach Kelvin Sampson took off his shirt to celebrate in the locker room. It was everything that makes March Madness great.
While watching the celebration, Barkley jokingly said that he would do the same if Auburn beat Miami. Larrañaga took note.
When the team got to the locker room postgame, the 72-year-old showed off his finest dance moves.
Coach L still got it!!!!

And then he went to speak with the media. Larrañaga proceeded to take a hilarious jab at Barkley in his postgame comments.
He said that he was watching the CBS studio show before the game and heard Sir Charles commit to taking his shirt off. Larrañaga said that nobody wanted to see that so his team made sure that didn’t happen.
