As we discussed back in March, 21-year-old Gracie Hunt, the daughter of Clark Hunt, the owner of the Kansas City Chiefs, was following her mother’s path and was set to compete in the 2021 Miss Kansas USA pageant.

Over the weekend, Gracie Hunt took yet another step in her mother Tavia Hunt’s footsteps as she took home the crown and will now move on to the 2021 Miss USA pageant.

Tavia was Miss Missouri Teen USA in 1990, losing out to Miss Oregon Bridgette Wilson for the Miss Teen USA title (Ali Landry also competed in that pageant) and then went on to win the Miss Kansas crown in 1993, finishing second runner-up in Miss USA to Kenya Moore.

Gracie, the 2018 Miss Texas International and an NFL Style spokesmodel, celebrated her big win on social media, writing, “Hello everyone! I’m Gracie Hunt your new Miss Kansas USA! I cannot put into words how honored I am to join the VANBROS family and Miss Kansas USA legacy & represent the amazing state of Kansas! Thank you to everyone who believed in me and to God for making my prayers a reality. I hope to make everyone proud through the next part of my journey. And so the adventure begins…”

Gracie also shared a few “fun facts” about herself including the fact that she works in marketing and development for the Kansas City Chiefs, is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Sport Management from the University of Kansas, founded the nonprofit Breaking Barriers Through Sports in 2016 to aid the disadvantaged and promote respect and inclusion worldwide, and is a certified health and fitness coach with Celiac disease.

Hunt, who with her win became one of 13 women who have been selected to compete in the 2021 Miss USA pageant, will now face off with the 50 other winners on May 16, 2021 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. The winner of that pageant will go on to represent the United States at the Miss Universe 2021 competition.
