The Chiefs taking on the Jets this week on Sunday Night Football, and things are already heating up leading up to the game.
A reporter tossed a question to Chiefs linebacker Willie Gay about his thoughts on Jets backup-turned-starter quarterback Zach Wilson.
With a chuckle, Gay initially found the question a tough nut to crack, saying, “Damn, that’s a hard question I can’t lie.”
But he followed up by remarking: “A team that wants to run the ball,” which basically implies skepticism about Wilson’s passing abilities.

Wilson’s season stats tell a story of a struggling quarterback, with 4 interceptions to just 2 touchdowns and a completion rate of less than 52.5 percent, which is pretty rough.
The 2-1 Chiefs are expected to have a relatively smooth ride against the Jets, have some offensive limitations under Wilson.
That’s the life right now for the Jets following Aaron Rodgers’ injury on Week 1, they’re in a tough spot and haven’t made a move to replace Wilson yet.
