Colin Kaepernick has an NFL opportunity waiting for him if he wants it.

According to the USA Today, Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh is interested in bringing in Kaepernick as a coach.

“If that was ever the path he was to take, I think that would be tremendous,” Harbaugh told USA TODAY Sports. “He’d be a tremendous coach, if that’s the path he chose.”

Harbaugh says Kaepernick has yet to accept his offer but is “considering” it.

“Yeah, we talked a little bit about it,” Harbaugh said. “He’s considering it. He was out of the country. He said he was going to get back to me. We haven’t reconnected since then. That was early, early in the year.”

Earlier this week, Kaepernick went viral when he once again insisted that he wanted to play football and could help a team win a Super Bowl during a recent interview.

“We’re still training and still pushing, hopefully we just got to get one of these team owners to open up.”

“It’s something I’ve trained my whole life for, so to be able to step back on the field, I think that would be a major moment, a major accomplishment for me. I think I could bring a lot to a team and help them win a championship.”

It seems like Harbaugh’s offer would allow Kaepernick to start a new career in the NFL, but we’ll have to wait and see if he accepts it.
