As teams are punching their tickets for the second weekend of the NCAA Tournament, there is one story at the forefront of every college basketball fan’s mind. That story is Saint Peter’s.
In round 1, they won a crazy back and forth matchup with Kentucky as a massive underdog. For that win, they were rewarded with a matchup against Murray State. Again, they came in as a big underdog, but they were once again able to come away with a shocking win.
This time, they were in control from the start. They never trailed for a single moment in this game and led from the 5:23 mark of the first half until the end of the game.

An incredible storyline unfolding. Saint Peter’s, one of the lowest-funded Division I programs in the country, has gone from second place into the MAAC and is strutting right into the Sweet 16.
College basketball is the ABSOLUTE BEST.
No other sport gives you these stories.

I don’t know what Saint Peter’s was like in the final five minutes of games during the regular season, but they feel like the most clutch team in the history of the sport.
