The Colorado football team landed a major boost surrounding the future outlook of its offensive line on Monday after landing a commitment from four-star offensive guard Chauncey Gooden. The Nashville native was one of the most coveted prospects in the 2025 class, holding more than 40 D1 offers across the country.
His game film shows just why so many had interest in the lineman. The 320-pound guard is an absolutely massive human being, which allowed him to be a pancake machine at the high school level.
Gooden’s recruitment came down to a quartet of major programs to include the Buffaloes, Clemson, Missouri, and Auburn.
He chose to join forces with Deion Sanders after taking an official visit to Boulder over the weekend (alongside 5-star QB JuJu Lewis). The coaching staff apparently made an impact!

Both ESPN and 24/7 Sports rate Gooden as the nation’s 10th-best inside line prospect.
At 6-4/320, he already boasts P4 size, and based on the body transformation of a soon-to-be teammate, that frame might only continue to grow when he gets into a college weight training program.
If that ends up being the case, it could produce a scary scene for upcoming opponents.
Colorado football commit Chauncey Gooden is a pancake machine.
At Lipscomb Academy, he was seen bullying defenders on a weekly basis while opening up running lanes for his team’s ball carriers. He takes no prisoners!

He’s held his own against the best of the best, too, facing off against some of the top defenders in the ’25 class at a Rivals camp earlier in his recruitment. That opportunity gave him the chance to display his pass blocking skill against high-level competition.
He’s not shying away from anyone!
For the one’s that may not know who Chauncey Gooden is, it’s simple…

The commitment is a welcomed addition for the Buffs, who struggled mightily along the front five last season. Shedeur Sanders was sacked the second-most times of any passer in college football, while Colorado allowed the most sack yardage in the sport.
Chauncey Gooden should help shore things up!
