Early this morning, British tabloid The Irish Sun reported that Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather had agreed to a billion dollar fight deal.

A source close to the Straight Blast Gym star told the Irish Sun: “Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather have agreed a deal to fight and have both settled on their respective fees.
“The contract hasn’t officially been signed yet because of a third party hold-up but all the details have all been agreed on.
“The fight could even be announced within two weeks.”
While there are reports of McGregor being in Vegas to meet with Mayweather’s people, Yahoo’s Chris Mannix is skeptical about the Irishman’s intentions.
No truth to the overseas report of a Mayweather-McGregor deal, per source directly involved in the process.

From what I'm told, this is Conor McGregor putting pressure on Dana White. Far more likely McGregor takes a lucrative MMA fight next.

Mannix is a pretty solid reporter so I’ll believe him before I believe the Irish Sun.
