There probably won’t be a McGregor-Nurmagomedov rematch and it seems like Conor is just fine with that.
On Saturday at UFC 254, Khabib Nurmagomedov made quick work of Justin Gaethje and immediately announced his retirement from MMA because he promised his mother he would not fight anymore after his father passed away from COVID in July.

Khabib’s longtime nemesis Conor McGregor took to Twitter and sent his former rival classy message after his retirement announcement.
Good performance @TeamKhabib.
I will carry on.
Respect and condolences on your father again also. To you and family.
Yours sincerely, The McGregors.— Conor McGregor (@TheNotoriousMMA) October 24, 2020
Pretty cool of McGregor to drop the beef and show Khabib respect after his emotional retirement from MMA.
