The Los Angeles Rams made their 2018 Super Bowl run without Cooper Kupp after he tore his ACL late in the season. This year, his wide receiver counterpart Robert Woods will not be on the field for the Super Bowl after tearing his ACL in November.
After winning the NFC Championship against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, the two shared an emotional moment on the field. If anyone knows what it is like to miss a big game, it is Kupp and he wanted to let his friend and teammate know how grateful he is to have him.

Prior to Woods’ injury, he was a huge part of the Rams’ offense. In nine games, the former USC Trojan from Los Angeles, recorded 45 catches for 556 yards (12.4 yards per catch) and scored four touchdowns. He accounted for 34 first downs and was the team’s No. 2 target behind Kupp.
After the game, Kupp wanted to thank Woods publicly.
He took to Twitter with a tribute to his teammate and shared an incredible nickname.
Apparently, the nickname has been a thing for a few years. However, nobody like Kupp or Woods’ teammates had every referred to him directly by the nickname. As a result, quite a few people found out about it for the first time.
We're not here without Bobby Trees. No words to explain his value to me. Only the people in our building truly know his impact.
Love you brother. @robertwoods

Robert Woods’ nickname is Bobby Trees. Get it? Robert = Bobby, Woods = Trees?
It’s an all-time nickname for a player who has been such a crucial part of L.A.’s success in recent years. It will surely be disappointing for him not to be on the field, but Kupp is making sure that his contribution is not going underappreciated.
