Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott responded to owner Jerry Jones’ cautious approach to the upcoming Eagles game with an unusual statement: “Pour honey on me.”
Jones, known for his entertainingly odd phrases, had refrained from discussing the game, fearing he might “poke the bear.” However, Prescott seemed unfazed facing the favorite Eagles.
After the Cowboys‘ decisive 43-20 victory against the Rams in Week 8, Prescott was informed about Jones’ bear-related comment. His response in a pretty unusual way, with: “Pour honey on me! If you see me and a bear in a fight, pour honey on me.”
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones says he’s not going to talk about the upcoming game against the Eagles. He said he learned his lesson after the 49ers game. Dak Prescott didn’t believe that and isn’t worried about poking the bear. “If you see me and a bear in a fight, pour honey on me.” pic.twitter.com/KG1i3urCmy

Dak added: “You can poke it. Whether we talk or not, we know what’s ahead of us. (The Eagles are a) great opponent.”
The 5-2 Cowboys will face the 7-1 Eagles on Week 9 which could be one of the best games on the 2023 season, it makes sense that Dak will tell the media he’s not afraid to “poke the bear” with some honey.
