Make no mistake, the Dallas Cowboys played an excellent football game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday night. The Cowboys dominated Tampa in all facets en route to a 31-14 win.
Quarterback Dak Prescott played one of his best games, Tony Pollard ran the ball well, and the Dallas pass rush harassed Tom Brady. It was truly a complete performance.
Except for one thing. The kicking game was miserable. Kicker Brett Maher was a putrid 1-5 on extra points.
Not 1 miss. Not 2 misses. But 3 missed extra points for Brett Maher. pic.twitter.com/AIzbcTO3Uy

It was not good, to say the least. And, the memes were out in full force.

He’s already missed two extra points, there’s no way he can miss again

So, the Cowboys have brought in another kicker for their Divisional Round matchup against the San Francisco 49ers.
The #Cowboys plan to sign kicker Tristan Vizcaino to the practice squad, pending physical, per source.
Team officials have said the plan is to stick with Brett Maher after Monday night’s extra-point fiasco. But now they have insurance.

But, was it a smart signing? For his career, Vizcaino is an impressive 11-12 on field goals. But, he’s only 15-20 on extra points. Now, that’s better than 1-5, but it’s certainly not good.
Time will tell what the Cowboys decide to do.
