For the first time in the history of any PGA Tour sanctioned event, a golfer turned in a score of 57.
Cristobal Del Solar fired off a round of 57 in the Korn Ferry Tour‘s Astara Golf Championship, an international event held in Bogota, Colombia. Only 11 golfers in PGA Tour history have shot 59 or 58 and prior to today, none had ever recorded a 57.
His scorecard looks like someone playing EA Sports’ Tiger Woods PGA Tour Golf on easy mode:

On the par-70 course he recorded 9 birdies and 2 eagles. He turned in a 27 (!!!) on the front-nine. Here is a closer look at the Chilean golfer holding his signed 57 scorecard following his record-setting round:

The congratulations on social media are starting to roll in as the golf world catches wind of Cristobal Del Solar’s 57:
🚨There is now a Mr. 5️⃣7️⃣ and he lives on the Korn Ferry Tour!!!🚨

While the current 1st Round of the Korn Ferry Tour’s Astara Golf Championship is ongoing, Cristobal Del Solar has already jumped out to a 4 shot lead over the field after turning in a scorecard of 57 for a -13 round.
Henceforth, he is known as Mr. 57. Anywhere Cristobal Del Solar goes in the golf world we all collectively need to refer to him as Mr. 57. Nobody’s done it until now. And there is absolutely no way to poke holes in this achievement as it was in a PGA Tour sanctioned event and not some weekend warrior turning in a dubious scorecard.
