Dan Hamhuis Taking A Freakin’ Slapshot To The Face Is The Reason I Never Played Hockey

Well, go ahead and file this under the reasons why I never wanted to play hockey, because, holy shit, my mug would be mangled and destroyed if I ever took a slapshot the face—especially considering those things typically travel over 80 miles per hour and are as hard as rocks.

While I would be on the mend for, oh, a good year or so in recovery, the Vancouver Canucks’ Dan Hamhuis just went down in a heap of pain and skated off with a bunch of blood pouring from his face, likely breaking his jaw.

Hockey players are tough as fuck, man, because normal people would be crying to their moms if this happened.
