Many fight fans were hopeful Darren Till could get back in the win column at UFC 282. Instead, he got submitted by Dricus Du Plessis in the third round.
This is Till’s third straight loss in the UFC, which isn’t great. Now, the fan-favorite ponders his future while his Plessis may have revealed why Darren Till is struggling right now.
According to MMA Junkie, Till aims to take some time and “rethink stuff.” That’s probably for the best right now. However, that doesn’t mean he’s retiring, as he was adamant he aims to come back and fight again in 2023.

If that’s the case, then no wonder Darren Till is on a three-fight losing streak. He’s 1-3 since moving up a weight class. So with that in mind, Dricus Du Plessis may have a point. Perhaps Till should take that into consideration as he takes a little break from fighting. Especially after suffering a heartbreaker at UFC 282.
With that said, look for Darren Till to make a return at some point in 2023, as he clearly wants to keep fighting. However, it might be in the later portion of next year when that happens.
