On Monday, perpetual instigator Miko Grimes lit another fire when she claimed that the Raiders offensive line deliberately let Derek Carr get sacked and hurt for telling them not to kneel for the national anthem.
Here’s some of what Grimes said while appearing on The Breakfast Club…
“[Carr] was against [the offensive line] protesting. And they had a fight in the locker room before that Monday night game with the Redskins. They were fighting in the locker room, and that’s the only all-black offensive line in the NFL is the Raiders.
“Derek Carr is a Bible thumper to the fullest. And so he was basically trying to force the players to read the Bible before the game, and do all this stuff, and they were like, ‘No, that’s you.’ And so he was so upset about it, when the whole offensive line said they were going to kneel, he was like, ‘No, you’re not kneeling. This is America, you’re going to stand for the flag.’ And they got in a fight in the locker room, so when they came out to play, they basically had a plan.”
Raiders offensive linemen Donald Penn And Anthony Hamilton were quick to jump on this rumor and vehemently denied there being any truth to it.
It’s crazy how people will make up lies and tell a story so false and untrue 2 get them some attention I️ hope it was worth it all lies😭😂😭😂😭

Dianna Russini of ESPN offered an even more detailed story in response to Grimes’ claims…
Raiders went to Washington D.C. and discussed as a team including the owner, head coach, and team leaders how they would handle the anthem

As a team they decided to stay inside the locker room during the National Anthem…however SNF broadcast protocol goes coin toss then anthem

The Raiders had to come out on the field during the coin toss and couldn't go back in the locker room for the anthem. This caused confusion

Raiders didn't know what to do. I'm told "Derek Carr never told his team to stand, sit, or kneel. He told them I respect your choice"

I also got a text from a Raiders offensive player "please don't ask me for a response to dumb stories. Derek is our guy" #Raiders

Derek Carr, the Bible thumper, issued this tweet on Monday afternoon and made sure to highlight the part he wanted everyone to read…

That is an A+ bit of very subtle, yet very effective shade thrown right there. (Unless, of course, he was talking about himself. He wasn’t, was he?)
