The Phoenix Suns collapsed in the NBA Playoffs yet again leading to the organization releasing head coach Monty Williams.
We may see some major changes to the roster during the offseason though, as the team has struggled to get over the hump.
However, Devin Booker had Suns fans stirring on Monday night after sending a tweet that has the fanbase convinced Chris Paul and Deandre Ayton are done in Phoenix.
The cryptic message was a simple one, but fans couldn’t help but notice the obvious exclusion of Paul and Ayton.
36 unbothered

For anyone missing the context, Booker wears No. 1 while Kevin Durant reps No. 35. I’m sure you can handle the math from here.
But that message very clearly leaves out Chris Paul and Deandre Ayton. For that reason, Devin Booker has Suns fans buzzing.
So no 39? 😬

This guy seems pretty excited about it.
So exited for u and kd to have a full off-season together and a real team around you phoenix is gonna dominate next season baby!!!

Wasn’t that the case this season?
To be fair, as much as I hate the Suns, put decent pieces around these two and they are immediate contenders.

Because it’s not nearly as cool, FalcDawg.
Imagine if an NBA player just tweeted out what they thought instead of this corny bs.
Like what if he said “Although we didn’t accomplish our goal, Kevin and I are excited for the future – Go Suns!” https://t.co/wQbaH4Ey6S

This really might be true.
35 + 1 = kd & booker unbothered and safe from trade. nobody else is 🤣

Maybe. Maybe not.
36 has all summer to get well and strong 💪 I see next year will be better than ever for 36 🎉

It should be an interesting offseason for Phoenix. Once they find a new head coach, the front office will transition to making changes to the roster.
That could prove to be difficult though, as it’s not like the Suns have a ton of cap space to build around Devin Booker and Kevin Durant through free agency.
For that reason, we should be hearing plenty of trade buzz out of Phoenix once the offseason officially begins.
Keep a close eye on this franchise, as major changes could be on the way.
