Most sports teams break out the booze in the locker room to celebrate after winning a playoff series, and the Arizona Diamondbacks did exactly that after beating the Dodgers in the NLDS on Wednesday. However, they also made sure to take advantage of the pool in the outfield of their home ballpark following the win.
When Chase Field opened for business in 1998, it set itself apart by being the first MLB stadium to feature a retractable roof and natural grass (although the franchise eventually opted to switch over to artificial turf in 2019).
However, that was far from the only unique feature, as it’s also the only ballpark that boasts a swimming pool (and a hot tub), which fans can take advantage of if they choose to splurge on the suite that’s located near center field (the idea was initially met with some resistance but turned out to be an incredibly popular draw).
On Wednesday night, the Diamondbacks had the chance to punch their ticket to the NLCS after coming into their matchup with the Dodgers with a 2-0 lead in their divisional series showdown, and they managed to do exactly that with the 4-2 victory.
Arizona gathered in the infield to celebrate after the final out was recorded, but it didn’t take long for members of the team to make their way into the outfield for a pool party.

Some of the players were already armed with goggles in preparation for the champagne showers in the clubhouse, but they ended up serving a dual purpose during the aquatic festivities.
The Diamondbacks will end up facing either the Braves or the Phillies to decide which team ends up representing the National League in the World Series, and you have to imagine we’ll be treated to a similar scene if they emerge victorious on their home turf yet again.
