It’s safe to say Broncos fans were less than thrilled to hear Aaron Rodgers had decided to remain in Green Bay following plenty of speculation he might opt to take his talents to Denver, but it didn’t take long for them to get a pretty solid consolation prize after the franchise orchestrated a deal to bring Russell Wilson into the fold.
At first glance, it would appear the Broncos came out of the winning end of a pick-heavy deal that seems to have resulted in Drew Lock becoming the man under center in Seattle. Based on the message Lock sent out after the trade was finalized, he seems pretty amped for the next chapter in his career, but if you take a look at how many Seahawks fans have reacted to the swap, that feeling doesn’t seem to be entirely mutual.

It’s a bit hard to blame Seattle’s supporters for not being all-in on the quarterback; sure, he may only have three NFL seasons under his belt, but the man who posted an 8-13 record as a starter in the Mile High City doesn’t exactly inspire a ton of confidence.
With that said, Lock will have some solid offensive weapons to work with in Seattle. That includes D.K. Metcalf, who sent out a message of his own on Thursday night targeted at anyone prematurely claiming Lock is dead on arrival.

Now, you can feel free to be the person who refuses to heed the advice of the man responsible for one of the mind-blowing chasedown tackles in NFL history and a wide receiver who looks like this.

However, it may be wise to listen to what that man has to say.
