The Cincinnati Bengals are holding on tight to their No. 1 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft in order to land Joe Burrow, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t at least answering calls about the pick.
It’s a safe bet that there have been offers made by other teams to acquire the first-overall pick, but as of now, none of those presumed trade offers has been good enough for the Bengals to budge. One of those teams that have made multiple calls to Cincinnati with interest in the pick is Miami.
One would imagine that the Dolphins have the most firepower among any other teams to actually acquire the top pick from the Bengals given the fact they have three first-round selections, but according to Adam Schefter, Cincinnati isn’t interested.
Over the last couple of weeks, the Dolphins called the Bengals on more than one occasion to see if Cincinatti would be willing to trade the No. 1 overall pick. The Dolphins were told, in no uncertain terms, no. Cincinnati would not trade the pick and would stay put at No. 1.

The Dolphins are in desperate need of a quarterback and plenty of signs point to them selecting either Justin Herbert or Tua Tagovailoa with the fifth-overall pick, but they’ve at least done their due diligence in inquiring about the top spot in the draft.
Miami also holds the 18th and 26th overall picks in the draft and could very well be among the most active teams during the first-round given the sheer number of first-round picks it has.
