In case you somehow haven’t heard, Drake is a pretty big Toronto Raptors fan.
While the Toronto-born rapper has long been derided for his front-running brand of fandom, even the biggest Drake haters out there can admit that if there’s any professional sports team out there that he truly supports, it is certainly the Toronto Raptors.
So it should then come as no surprise that Drake’s postgame reaction to the Raptors winning the NBA Finals over the Golden State Warriors in 6 games is about as extra as you’d expect it to be.
Following the Raptors’ epic 114-110 Game 6 win over the two-time defending NBA champions in their home arena, Drake was instantly all over social media going absolutely buck wild celebrating the dub.

Despite the fact that the Golden State Warriors were without former MVP Kevin Durant and future Hall of Famer Klay Thompson, Drake held nothing back when it came to his postgame antics.
To be fair, Toronto’s celebrations are understandable, as the Raptors 2019 NBA championship is the first major sports title that the city has been able to celebrate since the Toronto Blue Jays won the World Series back in 1992 and 1993.
And while the Toronto Raptors admittedly secured the NBA Finals title over a severely depleted Golden State Warriors squad, the fact remains that a championship is a championship, and that is all the history books will remember when it is all said and done.

The Raptors — who were founded just 24 years ago — deserve all the credit in the world, though, as they executed one of the boldest trades in recent NBA history when brought in Kawhi Leonard from the San Antonio Spurs.
Leonard, who has still yet to commit to a future in Toronto, overhauled the Raptors from playoff pretender into legit NBA champions over the course of just one season.
And now, in addition to being a 2-time NBA Finals champion & MVP, Kawhi is officially Drake’s BFF. That’s gotta be enough to stay in Canada, right?
