The Golden State Warriors have had one hell of a run in the past few years but they knew they had a bit of work cut out for them coming into this one after losing Klay Thompson to an injury that will likely sideline him for the entire season and seeing Kevin Durant defect to the Nets.
The team got off on the wrong foot last Thursday when they got blown out by the Clippers by a score of 141-122 at home but they had a chance to redeem themselves a bit on Sunday when they took on the Thunder.
It’s safe to say they failed to do that.
The Warriors gave up 35 points in each of the first two quarters and never came close to rallying, and when everything was said and done, they were handed a 120-92 loss at the hands of Los Angeles.
After the game, a slightly shell-shocked Draymond Green was asked about how he felt about the Warriors’ performance so far and it’s safe to say he’s not exactly thrilled.

Steve Kerr, on the other hand, jokingly (or perhaps not) said he needed a drink in order to deal with the loss.

Of course, the Warriors have only played two games so they have plenty of time to turn things around. With that said, their performance in those two games doesn’t exactly inspire a ton of confidence.
We should get a better idea of whether or not it’s time to go into full panic mode when Golden State takes on the winless Pelicans tonight.
