The Gervonta Davis-Jake Paul fight on November 14th will have high-level drug testing. For years, Paul has been accused of using performance-enhancing drugs by fans due to his increased size over the years.
Earlier this week, MVP Promotions’ Nikasa Bidarian outlined the rules for the exhibition fight, which includes stringent drug testing from USADA.
There will be a victor because the fighters have agreed and the commission has approved a maximum weight of 195lb for this exhibition,” he said.
“When Tank and Jake enter the squared circle to go to battle, they will be wearing 12oz gloves.
“Sitting ringside will be three commission-approved world-class professional judges that will score every round to ensure there’s a decisive outcome for the fight if it goes the distance.
“And both men are enrolled in the highest level of testing with USADA (US Anti-Doping Agency).”
Paul spoke about why he decided to go with USADA for his fight against Davis.
“For all of you Karens who accuse me of being on steroids and think steroids are the reason I’m winning all of my fights, we have the strictest drug-testing possible for this match. USADA. Random drug tests at any moment.”
According to a report from FightsATW, both fighters have already begun testing.
“Testing is already underway, and testing efforts began earlier this month.”
It would be wild if Paul were using performance-enhancing drugs against a fighter nearly 40 pounds lighter than him.
