It was a very emotional afternoon for Jason Kelce, his family, and all of Eagles Nation after the captain announced his retirement from the NFL following a Hall of Fame career.
Jason and his brother Travis Kelce broke down in tears at the press conference where he announced his retirement. Shortly thereafter, fans in Philly parked outside of the Eagels’ Novacare Complex brought Jason Kelce a keg of Miller Lite as a retirement gift.
John Paul, an ABC6 reporter in Philadelphia, captured footage of the Eagles fans bringing Jason Kelce his Miller Lite keg but sadly, Jason was too emotional to stop and drink with the fans as the day was too overwhelming. Even still, it made for a great moment with Jason driving by and seeing the fans with the ceremonial Miller Lite keg:

And here is the moment Jason Kelce passed by the Miller Lite keg that was meant for him after 13 glorious seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles, 13 seasons that included 7 Pro Bowls and 6 first-team All-Pro nominations along with a Super Bowl in 2018.
Well.. now fans need to figure out what to do with a full keg of Miller Lite. @JasonKelce seemed a little too emotional to stop…@6abc pic.twitter.com/eEZSt4xkGC

There’s no doubt a lot of heavy emotions today in the City of Brotherly Love where Jason Kelce is on the Mt. Rushmore of Eagles legends.
He will forever be welcomed as a king in that city, a city that has always been quick to turn on professional athletes during downswings but Jason Kelce remained the best Center in the NFL throughout his career and it’s only a matter of time now before he’s inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame in Canton.
