ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith is a big fan of Florida’s Walter Clayton Jr., but unfortunately, he made a big mistake while trying to compliment the college baller. On Saturday night, Clayton Jr. had a huge 34-point game in the Gators’ final four win against Auburn.
Walter Clayton Jr. was UNREAL tonight 🤯

During the game, Smith tried to compare Clayton’s performance to that of NBA star Cade Cunningham but misspelled Cunningham’s first name.

“Ladies and Gentlemen, just in case you did not know: this brother from @GatorsMBK, his name is Walter Clayton Jr, and he is something special. This brother is the real deal. Reminds me of @DetroitPistons big time guard Wade Cunningham.”
Basketball fans immediately roasted Smith over his mistake.
