The undefeated Cincinnati Bearcats should be in the top four to make the college football playoffs if they win out but ESPN’s Todd McShay thinks otherwise.
After Ohio State lost to Michigan on Saturday, McShay insisted that a two loss Ohio State should still make the playoffs because he believes they have a better team than Cincinnati, who haven’t lost a game. .
A lot can happen in the next week. But if it comes down to to OSU and Cincinnati for the No. 4 spot in the CFP, Ohio State is simply better. Two losses might keep them out but I want the #best4teams

College football fans immediately crushed McShay over his Ohio State/Cincinnatti hot take.

Huge McShay fan, but there is NO way 2-loss OSU should make it over undefeated Cincy. If that’s the case, why play any games at all? Just count the recruiting stars (h/t @AriWasserman) and hand out the trophy. https://t.co/E8n4inkoo5

You’re so right, Todd. Why even play the games? Let’s just pick the Top 4 teams in the preseason and not change them no matter what https://t.co/zizRJY2WWj
