To the surprise of most everybody, especially Dallas fans, the Cowboys put a whipping on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Monday night’s NFL Wild Card matchup.
Despite the best efforts of kicker Brett Maher, Dallas walked into Raymond James Stadium and rolled past the Bucs for a 31-14 victory.
The Cowboys took an 18-0 lead into the halftime break and never looked back. Part of that was a career day from star quarterback Dak Prescott. But on the other end, the Dallas defense made life miserable on Tom Brady.
Brady finished the night 35-of-66 for 351 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. But even those numbers were flattering. The 45-year-old threw his first red zone interception since 2019 early in the second quarter. It led to Dallas driving 80 yards to go up 12-0.
The future first-ballot Hall of Famer was under pressure all night from the Cowboys’ defense, with star linebacker Micah Parsons causing a particularly large program.
Fans Joke That Tom Brady Should’ve Just Listened To Gisele Bundchen
After the game, Brady was asked about his future in football.
“I love this organization. It’s a great place to be. Thank you everybody for welcoming me. Just very grateful for the respect and I hope I gave it back to you guys,” he said.
His comments led many to believe that he won’t be in Tampa much longer. But throughout the game, many had the same thought in mind.

Brady, of course, went through a very public divorce from supermodel ex-wife Gisele Bundchen during the season. Bundchen reportedly wanted the seven-time Super Bowl winner to remain retired after briefly announcing he was stepping away from the game following the 2021 season.
Instead, Brady returned and went 8-9 with the Bucs before being unceremoniously dumped from the playoffs. He was also unceremoniously dumped by Bunchden along the way.
