Former NFL doctor and orthopedic surgeon David J. Chao better known as ‘ProFootballDoc’ on Twitter, was quick to give his analysis of Burrow’s injury.
According to Chao, Burrow likely suffered a calf strain that isn’t serious but will make him miss training camp time and could linger on into the season.
Don't panic about cart.
During training camp, @bengals medical area not that close.
The ACL tear was other side.
This seems to be right calf but does anyone have video of injury? https://t.co/lMamGIHHwt— David J. Chao – ProFootballDoc (@ProFootballDoc) July 27, 2023
By distanced video, appears to be right calf muscle strain. Doesn't appear to be Achilles. This is the non ACL side. Could miss significant training camp time and gastroc strains do linger. https://t.co/XXLn5FSsaA
