In a revolutionary move in college football, the University of Florida has put aside $1.5 million in a pooled trust that its current players can access upon graduation. Just kidding, they used the money to construct a state-of-the-art locker room that will eventually only be used a handful of times in a season.
Via Saturday Down South:
…the updated locker room, officially named the Byran Kornblau Locker Room, will serve as the “home of the Gators football team” for the next couple seasons until the $85 million Florida Football Training Center (a new football facility at the site of the current baseball stadium) is complete. Once the training center is ready to use, the current locker room will serve as a game day only locker room. The $1.5 million renovation project began in late April.
According to Only Gators, the locker room features recliners, televisions, video game systems, a players’ lounge, new carpeting and lighting, along with modern technological advancements. The project reportedly began in late April and was completed in less than 90 days.

God damn. My high school locker room consisted of three benches, lockers with huge schlongs carved into them, and the lingering aroma of ass sweat. If only I had worked a little harder on my fitness and my parents handed me down better genes. WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN!
