We’re less than a year removed from Carson Wentz being traded to the Indianapolis Colts, but it seems there’s a chance we could already see him looking for another new team. The Colts haven’t indicated they have very much confidence in him and reports have surfaced that he could be traded or cut within the next few weeks.

The news had led to much speculation about if and where Carson Wentz could land another starting job. His former teammate, Lane Johnson, told Colin Cowherd that he believes Wentz will find another job and he believes it will be a pretty great one.

This would be a great move for both Wentz and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Wentz would get one last chance to prove that his near-MVP season that ended with an Eagles Super Bowl wasn’t a fluke. He’d be surrounded by potent offensive weapons with Diontae Johnson, Chase Claypool, Pat Freiermuth, and Najee Harris.

They also have a defense that would keep the Steelers in any bad games Wentz may have. The only drawback for Wentz would be that the Steelers currently have offensive line problems similar to the ones he dealt with in Philly.

For the Steelers, Wentz is probably the best shot they have at competing right now. As much as everybody seems to believe he’s a terrible quarterback because of that loss to the Jaguars, he would absolutely be an upgrade over the version of Ben Roethlisberger we saw this season. Unless the Steelers can land Aaron Rodgers or Russell Wilson, Wentz is their best choice.

If the Indianapolis Colts do move on from Carson Wentz, the Pittsburgh Steelers make a ton of sense for his next team.
