With the Super Bowl now over, everyone’s focus shifts towards NFL free-agency, where several teams are in the market for a veteran quarterback to push them over the hump.
The Houston Texans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tennessee Titans, New York Jets and Las Vegas Raiders are some of the teams with quarterback questions heading into next season and there’s only a few options to fill those spots in the open market.
Veteran players such as Derek Carr, Geno Smith and Jimmy Garoppolo head a list of quarterbacks who should be available in free-agency. The Ravens Lamar Jackson is also a pending free-agent but he’s expected to be tagged by Baltimore, which will prevent him from hitting free-agency.
Jimmy Garoppolo Expected To Have A Lot Of Interest
The 49ers already announced there won’t be any scenario in which Jimmy Garoppolo is back in San Francisco, which means the oft-injured 31-year old will land on a new team in 2023.
Garoppolo found great success in Kyle Shanahan QB-Friendly system and has a career record of 52-21, a winning percentage of .716 is one of the best in history.

While some will question how much of those wins are due to Garoppolo and not Shanahan, the bottom line is Jimmy G is a successful veteran quarterback that can fill a hole in an inspiring team that wants to stabilize a poor quarterback position.
According to a report by NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, Garoppolo will have “significant interest” in free-agency, potentially from the previously mentioned Titans, Buccaneers, Jets, Raiders and Texans.
