Canelo Alvarez’s beef with Oscar De La Hoya is not ending any time soon.

For years, Alvarez fought under De La Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions banner before suing and getting out of his contract.

On Saturday, Canelo will fight top 168-pound contender Jaime Munguia, who currently fights under Golden Boy.

During Wednesday’s pre-fight press conference, De La Hoya was allowed to speak, and he used his time to tell Canelo to put some respect on his name.

“Golden Boy Promotions built Canelo Alvarez, the company you fought under for decades has always had one name, and it’s mine, so put some f–ing respect on it.”

De La Hoya went on to bring up Canelo’s previous failed drug tests, which led the Mexican superstar to get out of his seat to confront his former promoter on stage.
