The Houston Texans aren’t just one of the league’s worst-run franchises when it comes to on-the-field product, as their social media could apparently use some improvement, too.
On Monday, April 24, the official Houston Texans Twiter account shared a photo of a quote that read: “Failure is not an option: it’s a necessity. Every misstep is a lesson learned. Every setback a chance to grow stronger. Embrace the struggle and become unstoppable.”

Given the eye-rolling nature of the post, it didn’t take long for it to start going viral on NFL Twitter.

NFL fans have been joking that the Texans posted the message ahead of the NFL draft in an effort to prepare their fans for how they’ll inevitably screw it up.

We are not taking a quarterback.
We are tanking.
We will be losing a lot, again.

Overall, it’s just a bizarrely out-of-character post for an NFL team, as everything from the font choice to the quote itself seems out of place, almost as if the Texans are going through a break-up.

Heading into the upcoming NFL Draft — which will be held in Kansas City from Thursday, April 27 to Saturday, April 29 — the Houston Texans own the #2 overall pick due to their abysmal 3-13 record during the 2022 season.
With University of Alabama quarterback Bryce Young projected to go #1 overall to the Carolina Panthers, there has been tons of intrigue surrounding the Texans’ pick in recent days as NFL insiders seem to have zero clue who they’ll be taking.
At this time, some players that the Texans are reportedly considering are Kentucky quarterback Will Levis, Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud, and University of Alabama linebacker Will Anderson Jr. Currently, Levis is the betting favorite to be selected by the Texans.
