After years of being broadcast on CBS, the NCAA selection show moved to TBS this year made some big changes in how the release of the match-ups would be announced.
“The Selection Show will begin with the announcement of all 68 teams, followed by the release of the brackets and match-ups …,” read the release from CBS Sports and Turner Sports.
The show started off terribly after a video-audio glitch made the early parts of the show nearly unwatchable.
This is (really bad audio-visual sync) March. pic.twitter.com/xWes8V2ZAc

Audio is out of sync and there's a live audience. Good start for TBS.

Audio issues aside, it seems like everyone on social media hated how the brackets were revealed on the show.
I miss the days when the Selection Show would give us the brackets & I could go on with my night.

Things go so bad that even the Lawrence police department joined in on the trolling.
Please do not call 911 to complain about the format of the NCAA tournament selection show. We can’t do anything about it, no matter how bad it is.

It kind of sucks because while the selection show has always been boring the reveal has never been this fucking bad.
"If it ain't broke, don't fix it."
See: NCAA Selection Show, 2018.

Un-Shun. I didn’t wanna tweet but this selection show is too awful to stay quiet. THIS SELECTION SHOW IS BRUTAL. Re-shun.

New selection show: Worst “decision” since LeBron James. CBS took its March Madness talents to a deserted island and left them there.

Just release the brackets guys. No need for a two hour selection show that is terrible and leaves a bad taste in everyone’s mouth.
