- Iowa head coach Kirk Ferentz was unable to name a favorite Christmas movie. He couldn’t do it.
- If that isn’t a fireable offense, then I don’t know what is!

Naming a favorite Christmas movie should be a very easy thing to do. Whichever Christmas movie that you enjoy most, that is your favorite Christmas movie.
However, for Iowa head football coach Kirk Ferentz, it is not possible. He doesn’t know.
WHO DOESN’T KNOW WHAT THEIR FAVORITE CHRISTMAS MOVIE IS?!?!?!
The Big Ten Network recently posted a video on its social feed and asked every one of the conference’s head coaches a very simple question.
If you haven’t figured it out by now, the prompt was: “What is your favorite Christmas movie?”
The usual suspects were atop the listβ It’s A Wonderful Life, A Christmas Story, Christmas Vacation, Love Actually, Home Alone and Rudolph.
Each of the coaches from Maryland to Rutgers to Nebraska answered quickly and confidently.
Ferentz went last. He didn’t have an answer. HE DID NOT HAVE AN ANSWER!!!
“That’s a good question. *snorts* You got me on that one, haha!”
WHAT?! WHAT DO YOU MEAN THEY GOT YOU ON THAT ONE, COACH FERENTZ?!
Iowa’s head ball coach didn’t even attempt to answer. He couldn’t even throw out one of the classics or even something as simple as “Santa Claus.”
Instead, he declined to answer. He didn’t have a favorite Christmas movie. Unbelievable.
If you're not watching holiday movies this week, wyd? π

If I’m Hawkeyes athletic director Gary Barta, that’s a red flag. Sure, it might mean that he is too focused on his job to have time for Christmas movies, but being unable to answer that question is truly astonishing.
Kirk Ferentz? More like Ebenezer Scrooge.
