Ja Morant is once again under fire for his latest antics. Back in 2023, Morant was suspended 25 games without pay for brandishing a gun on social media for the second time.
“Ja Morant’s decision to once again wield a firearm on social media is alarming and disconcerting given his similar conduct in March for which he was already suspended eight games,” said NBA Commissioner Adam Silver at the time.
“The potential for other young people to emulate Ja’s conduct is particularly concerning. Under these circumstances, we believe a suspension of 25 games is appropriate and makes clear that engaging in reckless and irresponsible behavior with guns will not be tolerated,” Silver said.
Despite being admonished and punished by Silver, Morant doesn’t appear to have learned his lesson.
On Tuesday night during the Grizzlies’ loss, Morant appeared to make a gun gesture directed at the Warriors’ bench.

NBA fans are now calling on Morant to be suspended.
“Ja needs to get suspended for the imitation shooting a gun at the Warriors’ bench. Dude will never EVER learn,” said one fan.
“Ja Morant literally just pretended he was shooting a gun at the Warriors’ bench. And that’s the guy you want to be the identity of your franchise Memphis? Pathetic. Suspend his a– again @NBA” commented another fan.
Considering his history, it’ll be interesting to see how Silver and the NBA react to Morant’s latest antics.
