Jake Paul is once again annoying diehard boxing fans with his hot takes about boxing. Later this month, Paul will take on 38-year-old former boxing champ Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. on his quest to win a boxing world title.

“Yeah, 100%. This is what I came here to do: to become world champion and create one of the greatest sports stories the world has ever seen. Going from Disney Channel to YouTube to world champion in six to seven years? That’s the most relatable and best sports story that any kid can get behind.”

“I’m here to inspire the next generation and do what no one has ever done before in the world’s hardest sport, and that is boxing.”

During a recent interview with DAZN, Paul said he feels like he’s the best thing to happen to boxing since Muhammad Ali.

“For me, I feel like I’m the only one doing it,” Paul said.

“Everyone else is just trying to gatekeep or say that they’re doing things for the sport or something is bad for boxing, but I’m the greatest thing to happen to boxing since Muhammad Ali.

“There’s no even debating that. What I’ve done speaks for itself.”

Boxing fans instantly mocked Paul for comparing himself to Ali and other great boxers.
