Ole Miss staff member Jake Reiling was on the wrong end of mockery passed down from head coach Lane Kiffin last week. On Monday, he redeemed himself.
Reiling became the butt of jokes during an offseason team activity as Kiffin ridiculed him of his lack of athleticism.
Staff members were seen taking part in some pickup basketball as players watched along in the Ole Miss meeting room.

When the competition concluded, all eyes were on Jake Reiling as he lined up at the top of the key for a slam dunk.
His two attempts failed miserably.

After botching the first go, Reiling regathered himself for a second shot, which ended in the same fashion.
Rebel players and coaches in the audience laughed, but the graduate assistant Reiling soon redeem himself!
Jake Reiling refused to accept failure after being mocked by Lane Kiffin
On Monday, a video of a third attempt from Reiling was posted online. This time, he wouldn’t be denied!

He simply refused to accept failure!
Lane Kiffin is hoping his team takes the same approach on the football field this season. The Rebels return a boatload of talent, and they’ve added key pieces in the transfer portal, too.
For those reasons, many have them pegged as a College Football Playoff contender in the new 12-team format.
Ole Miss turned in an 11-win season in 2023, losing to only Alabama and Georgia.
The Rebs avoid Alabama in the ’24 slate, though a rematch with the Bulldogs is scheduled in November. They’ll also face Top 25 teams in LSU and Oklahoma.
The path to the playoff starts on August 31st! Ole Miss kicks off the year against Furman in Oxford.
