It seems like Cam Skattebo’s reckless style of play is rubbing off on his quarterback, Jaxson Dart. During his rookie season, Skattebo has made a name for himself for his gritty running.

On Thursday, Dart did his best Skattebo impression when he dove headfirst into a defender for a first down.

Dart doesn’t seem to mind putting his body on the line for an extra yard.
“There’s just situations where if it’s third down, I’m going to get the first down. Said Dart. That’s important to me, important to the team. We have to keep the drives alive.
“Was there maybe one or two hits today I could have avoided, yes. But in my mind when I’m running the ball, I’m trying to get a few yards and put our team in a really good situation. I understand that you got to take care of your body. I definitely try to do my best with that. In situations where things are important, I’m going to do my best to get that done.”
Fans woud like to see Dart avoid diving into defenders.
