The 2024 NBA Slam Dunk Contest was, frankly, not good. The arena in Indianapolis was dead, the dunkers were bad, and it felt more like a shootaround than the once-proud Slam Dunk Contest.
The biggest name to participate was Boston Celtics superstar wing Jaylen Brown. Brown was the runner-up to G-Leaguer Mac McClung, though most felt like he did not deserve to go to the finals over Jacob Toppin and Jaime Jaquez.

But, three-time NBA All-Star is undeterred. He’s more than willing to come back and do dunk contest again, if he’s asked. That’s according to Jared Weis of The Athletic
Jaylen Brown on the doing the dunk contest next year: “If they ask me and nobody else cares to do it, f— it, I’ll do it again.”
Naturally, people had jokes.
This is a threat

Jaylen Brown is much better at actual basketball than he is at slam dunks. He’s average 22.0 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 3.6 assists this year for the best-in-the-league Boston Celtics.
