Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum is facing some scrutiny for how he’s played against the New York Knicks in the Eastern Conference semi-finals. Tatum had just 13 points in the Celtics Game 2 loss to the Knicks.

In the Game 2 loss to the New York Knicks, which saw the defending champs put themselves into a 0-2 hole heading into Game 3 in New York, Tatum had 13 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists.

More notably, however, Jayson Tatum had his potential game-winning shot blocked by Mikal Bridges on the C’s final possession of the game.

After the game, rival NBA fans made sure to take to social media to cook Tatum’s pefromance.

“I’m pronouncing Tatum like Batum until further notice,” one viral tweet joked.

“Jayson Tatum is everything that’s wrong with the world today,” another added.

“Jayson Tatum gotta look in the mirror, you’re hooping like you’re high school musical every criticism coming your way is deserved,” a third cracked.

“Never forget that peak Khris Middleton was better than Jayson Tatum.”

“Jayson Tatum is such a weird player. Best way I can put it is he’s the most highly regarded player that nobody actually trusts.”

Game 3 of the Eastern Conference semifinals between the Celtics and Knicks will tip-off from Madison Square Garden in Manhattan on Saturday, May 10 at 3:30 p.m. EST. If the Celtics lose that game, they’ll essentially be eliminated from the NBA playoffs, as no NBA team has ever come back from a 0-3 deficit.
