The annual NFL League Meeting kicked off on Sunday in Orlando, Florida, and Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones is already making headlines.
In a photo shared by Dallas Morning News reporter David Moore, Jones’ notepad was seen sitting on his lap. And upon further inspection, the NFL world uncovered that on his notepad were nothing but nonsense scribbles and doodles.

Jones’ Cowboys, already the most highly-scrutinized team in the NFL, are facing extra pressure this offseason following a bizarre lack of free agent signings, as former Minnesota Vikings linebacker Eric Kendricks is currently the only external signing they’ve made.
The 32-year-old Kendricks, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2015 NFL Draft out of UCLA, spent 2015 to 2022 with the Vikings before playing with the Los Angeles Chargers last year. His contract with Dallas is for one year and $3 million.
The Cowboys also resigned cornerback Jourdan Lewis, running back Rico Dowdle, special teamer C.J. Goodwin, and long snapper Trent Sieg.
There also remains doubts about whether or not the duo of quarterback Dak Prescott and head coach Mike McCarthy are good enough to lead Dallas back to the Super Bowl, where they haven’t been since 1995.
Despite the disappointing end to the Cowboys’ season last year — winning the NFC East but losing in the first round of the playoffs to the 7th-seeded Green Bay Packers — McCarthy was retained as head coach for what will surely be a make-or-break season.
Furthermore, the Cowboys also reworked Prescott’s to reduce his cap hit by $4 million, bringing his 2024 salary to just under $55 million.
