The New York Jets made headlines this week with news that they’d be signing former MVP Aaron Rodgers. The quarterback is on his way out of Green Bay as he gets ready to lead his new team in the AFC.
The addition under center has reset expectations in the Big Apple as fans and media now view the franchise as a Super Bowl contender. Vegas agrees with those sentiments as the Jets have seen a massive spike in their title odds.
Rodgers certainly qualifies as an improvement from what New York’s seen over the last few seasons. A revolving door of Zach Wilson, Joe Flacco, and Mike White produced subpar results last year in a seven-win campaign.
It was the seventh straight losing season for the Jets, but they’re hoping Rodgers can put an end to disappointing run.
If the future odds are any indication, fans could be happy come playoff time in New York. The Jets are now considered one of the AFC’s top five contenders to hoist the Lombardi trophy.
So they tell me the Jets are +750 to the win the AFC – only three teams are ahead of them (Chiefs, Bills + Bengals) @FDSportsbook ..

Now, we saw the team’s title chances improve prior to the signing as sportsbooks adjusted to just the idea that Aaron Rodgers could land with the Jets. Now that it’s a done deal, those odds have moved even further.
That puts them only behind the Chiefs, Bengals, and division rival Bills in next year’s AFC race. Fans were quick to comment on social media.

There are many fans that aren’t yet sold.
Are there odds listed for them missing the postseason?

Even Jets fans are cautiously optimistic with Rodgers under center.
Iām a jets fan.
I still have the dolphins ahead of them but would have them about the same as the chargers šš¼
