Things got pretty heated between the Utah Jazz and the Minnesota Timberwolves last night after Wolves guard Jeff Teague got ejected late in the fourth quarter after he body checked Jazz point guard Ricky Rubio into the stands.

After the hit, injured Wolves guard Jimmy Butler tweeted for the first time in years to show support for his teammate.
haven’t used Twitter in years. But yeah Jeff that’s what I like to see. Rubio getting up quick for no reason.

Right after Teague was ejected from the game, Wolves coach Tom Thibodeau got into it with Jae Crowder who was later ejected from the game. This set up a pretty heated exchange between Butler and Crowder on Twitter.
Jae get away from my coach. You don’t want no smoke either

I DONT TWITTER BEEF ILL LEAVE THAT TO U.. BUT U GOT MY PHONE NUMBER AND KNOW MY HOME ADDRESS..!! THE REST CAN BE HISTORY 😈😈 https://t.co/FGDRYnYyg5

While in the locker room, Crowder was asked about his Twitter beef with Butler and he kind of downplayed the whole thing.
“He is a competitor, he’s a trash talker, he is all of the above,” Crowder said of Butler, his former college teammate at Marquette.
“He wishes he was out there competing in a game like that, that’s what probably eating him up the most, he wishes he was on the court, fighting with his guys…that’s my guy,” said Crowder.
Twitter beefs and pettiness is the main reason why the NBA is so hot right now. Can’t wait until the Wolves and the Jazz play again, hopefully they meet in the playoffs which is a possibility.
