For whatever reason, Kyler Murray has been receiving a ton of flack ever since the Arizona Cardinals fired Kliff Kingsbury as head coach.
It’s unclear where this all came from, as it seems popular to trash Murray right now. However, JJ Watt defends his former teammate.
During an appearance on The Dan Patrick Show, Watt was forced to defend Murray when Dan Patrick brought him up.
It wasn’t normal questions either. Everything about it was super cringy, as Dan Patrick made the interview feel incredibly awkward. Here’s the full clip.
JJ Watt is such a class act but idk how Dan gets people to come back with questions like this at 7am PST pic.twitter.com/miMyD3w0w5

I don’t know about you but it feels like Patrick is trying to get Watt to overreact for a viral clip or something. Instead, the future Hall of Famer handles the interview with class.
If we learned anything from this video, is that JJ Watt is a great teammate. Kyler Murray gets a ton of hate and most of it is unwarranted.
The rumors about the Cardinals struggling to hire a new head coach because of Murray certainly doesn’t help.
However, has anyone considered it’s because of his knee injury and not his character? I mean, the guy is scheduled to miss at least half of the 2023 season.
Either way, it’s nice to see JJ Watt go to bat for his former teammate, despite receiving questions from an abnormally cringy Dan Patrick.
