Joe Buck Implies Vikings HC Kevin O’Connell Told Player To Fake Injury And ‘Go Down’ After Play

Joe Buck was on top of his game and made sure the Vikings didn’t pull a fast one on Monday night.

During the Monday Night Football game between the Vikings and the Niners, Vikings tight end T. J. Hockenson went down with an apparent leg injury.

Buck immediately noted that he saw Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell telling Hockenson to go down and fake an injury.

While Hockenson was down, O’Connell was able to get some time to talk to his QB Kirk Cousins and dial up a play.

Update: Buck would later backtrack from his comments and said that Hockenson was “gimpy” going to the sideline.
