Future professional golfer and former Browns, Tiger-Cats, Alouettes, Express, and Fan Controlled Football League Zappers quarterback Johnny Manziel got into a ugly Twitter spat with a sportswriter (and several other people) the other day.
Manziel, whose Twitter bio ironically reads, “Good vibes only,” got it all started on Sunday during the Bengals and Chiefs game when he tweeted back at a football fan who was mocking his in-game analysis.
You still mad about the playoff loss from last year or the fact you live in Cleveland probably? https://t.co/sPq41Bzhme

I would have paid to get out of Berea. It’s all love though Bakers my guy https://t.co/FRK2a3qx0R

Then Manziel went for the jugular by straight up telling the fan, “Cleveland sucks.”
Cleveland sucks. That’s not negative that’s factual. Not the people, the place itself https://t.co/e1Y00JD8SS

It was on like Donkey Kong at that point.
First, a producer and reporter for Cleveland.com, Hayden Grove, fired back at Manziel for dissing his city.
Everyone has their opinion. It’s all good

Johnny Manziel has no time for “Twitter dorks”
It really escalated, however, when Sportsnet broadcaster and writer Andy McNamara basically accused Manziel of being drunk.
"Lost in the sauce" again 😬

Pretty sure after spending a first round pick on Johnny Manziel only to see him flame out of the league after just two seasons and a total of 258 passes the Browns and the city of Cleveland aren’t exactly in love with him either.
At that point, Johnny Manziel decided to just torch all of the “dorks” on Twitter who don’t appreciate him.
Far from it just hate the Browns and love trolling you 🤡

Then Johnny Football pulled out the one and only card he can possibly play: his Heisman.
This was all I ever needed. Heisman > Browns https://t.co/BVZlg8HiBI pic.twitter.com/v34wewRVci

Of course, seeing this entertaining beef unfolding on Twitter, the rest of the internet had to chime in with some thoughts of their own on JFF and his brief time in Cleveland with the Browns.
Yeah if my EX was in my DM’s every single day.

But has Cleveland ever won a Heisman?

Hey Johnny, when you got cut by The Montreal Alouettes did they tell you to pack your shit in English or in French?

Why does Cleveland live rent free in your mind.
— Maliq (Dawgs by the Sword) (@DBSMaliq) January 30, 2022
Cleveland was ready to go all in on you. The people & the #Browns embraced you & if you showed any dedication & had any success at all, you’d be a legend instead of a punchline
The physical setting was entirely whatever you made it to be
GFY. Enjoy ur life as a cautionary tale

Why do you you continue to hate on the city and team that gave you your one and only shot in the NFL?
