Kelly Stafford Apologizes For Nearly Ruining Joe Cox’s Marriage After She Admitted To Hooking Up With Unnamed Backup QB At Georgia

Kelly Stafford is speaking out after former Georgia backup QB Joe Cox was dragged through the mud after her college hookup story went viral.

Last week, Kelly admitted to hooking up with Georgia’s backup QB while she was initially dating Matt Stafford to make Matt jealous.

“It wasn’t that cute of a relationship at first,” Kelly said. “I hated him, I loved him. I dated the backup to piss him off, which worked — he was the bad boy too. Matthew’s so sweet and a Southern gentleman and all that stuff. And the backup was the complete opposite, and it upset him.”

While Kelly didn’t name the backup QB at Georgia who she hooked up with, many believed it was Cox, and he began getting slammed on social media.

Kelly eventually took to Twitter to apologize to Cox and his wife for the fact that he was implicated in the viral story.

“To this beautiful fam…I’m sorry for the media storm that happened last week that made its way into your lives. You had zero involvement in what I spoke about and in fact it was was ya’lls relationship in college that I looked up to and wanted to be in college.”

Stafford was criticized for putting up a pictore of Cox and his family after the apology.
