Kevin Durant knows a thing or two about winning championships. Throughout the sharp shooter’s 14-year professional career, he’s won a pair of NBA title, landing Finals MVP honors in both. Four times he’s won the NBA’s scoring crown and is on pace to do so again in 2022. Durant has been one of the league’s top stars since coming out of the University of Texas in the 2007 Draft.
In an interview this week with Boardroom, though, KD turned his attention to the NFL, where he’s taken note of the impressive play of Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals. He had some strong predictions for the organization and its Heisman trophy winning quarterback.
When speaking to whether the gunslinger will bring home the Bengals’ first ever Super Bowl title, Durant answered with a bold statement.
“He’s bringing a couple back to Cincy before his time’s done.”
.@KDTrey5 loves what he's seeing from Joe Burrow & Jamarr Chase. 🔥

The Bengals haven’t been in the NFL’s big game since the 1980s, appearing in both the 1981 and 1988 seasons. Each resulted in a postseason loss, which became a trend for the organization over the last three decades. In fact, it wasn’t until the team’s magical run through this year’s playoff field that Bengals fans were actually able to send their first ever “Cincinnati wins a playoff game” text.
Burrow and Co. will attempt to keep this surprising season alive for another week as they prepare to battle Kansas City in the AFC Championship Game on Sunday. He’ll do his best to prove KD’s prediction right this February with a Super Bowl appearance just one game away.
